this year
last year
years past
we can always paint over it
chinese symbol for monkey
the year of becoming is quickly changing into the year of
poverty
... but we're not going to declare it such yet.

yet.

i still have hope that things will straighten themselves out
before i have to sell the cat, the boy, and my very valuable
yarn art collection. optimism just boils inside me.

but let's not dwell on things we can't immediately change.
let's instead focus on this year's highlights thus far:

-the generosity/support/love that friends and family have
shown has been a true blessing
and salvation.

-my livingroom is now perfectly arranged, but this is strictly
my opinion.

-my son, kent/lil k/k-dawg/baby, has officially become a
thinking feeling human being that can be both funny and
touching. (much better than the 3 years of "the terrible two's.")

-apparently the power rangers, "da dip", and dinosaurs are
all the rage. yes, ladies and gentlemen, freaknasty is in full
force.

-we got to go to
shrine mont in august. the elmore family
reunion 2004 was one of the best weekends i've spent. it
was a much needed retreat.
according to the chinese
zodiac, 2004 is the year of
the monkey. the last year
of the monkey occured
1992, and before that in
1980, the year of my birth.
i guess the random passer
by would think this is some
family album of sorts; or
the electronic version of
those little plastic photo
folds found in wallets all
over.

but it isn't that. no, not really.

my intent here is to capture
every little frame of my life
so I can make this really
great coffee table flip book...

if you flip fast enough the
pictures move!.
